Revered preacher and motivational speaker, Pastor Sam Adeyemi has lent his voice to the rearrest of activist and journalist, Omoyele Sowore.
Recall that Sowore was in the custody of the Department of State Service for 126 days, even after a court ordered his release on bail. He was released on the 6th of December, only to be rearrested in the court premises by the DSS on the 7th of December.
The founder of Daystar Christian Center, Pastor Sam Adeyemi shared on twitter, “Watching the video of the re-arrest of Mr Sowore right inside a court of law is saddening. People expect their leaders to model the right behaviour. When those that should enforce the law break it, it weakens everyone’s resolve. We must do better to build our democracy.
