The online publisher, Sahara Reporters, has just reported that some heavily-armed DSS operatives chased after Sowore and Bakare as their lawyer, Femi Falana drove them out of the court premises.
This is after the court proceedings were disrupted by some DSS operatives who attempted to rearrest Sowore in this court premises. The attempt by the DSS to rearrest Sowore in the court premises led to commotion within and around the court premises after the people who witnessed the incident prevented them from rearresting Sowore.
Femi Falana, Sowore’s legal representative drove the men out of the court premises after several minutes of tension. Several DSS operatives drove after the men in separate vehicles.
Falana met the judge, Justice Ojukwu and the DSS’ lawyer Hassan Liman in an effort to bring a solution to the issue.
Justice Ojukwu adjourned the case to 11, 12 and 13 of February 2020.
Sahara Reporters reported that Sowore sustained bruises on his body as he struggled with the DSS officials who attempted to rearrest him in the court premises.
