Oyogist.com has learned that the Benin monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, has welcomed a set of quadruplets with his fifth wife, Esosa Ewuare, into the Benin Royal family.
The quadruplets are three males and a female.
Esosa Ewuare is the youngest among the wives of the traditional ruler.
This is coming few months after Oba had, welcomed his first infant Prince since after he ascended the throne of his forebears as the 40th Oba of Benin from her Royal Highness, Iyayota Ewuare.
The traditional ruler made the announcement at 4:57p.m at his palace on Friday in Benin City, amidst jubilation by guests.
The monarch paid tribute to God Almighty and the ancestors for the blessing.
The presiding priest of the oldest West African Church, Holy Aruosa Church, Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri, offered prayer to God for wisdom and guidance for the newborns.
A statement issued by the Secretary, Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor, said the Quadruplets and their mother are in excellent health.
