Developing reports reaching OYOGist.com has confirmed that two people have died from an earlier incident that involved a suspect who rammed a car into the security barriers at the US Capitol.
The suspect who drove the car into the security barriers, injuring two police officers. One of the police officers involved in the attack has died, according to reports. The suspect was driving towards two police officers.
The suspect, who was shot, was said to have carried a sort of weapon which was discovered in his vehicle.
Members of the US Congress are currently at a recess, so no member of Congress was on site when the incident occurred. This incident is coming three months after the Capitol Riot that killed 5 people on the 6th of January.
Capitol Police acting Chief announced that the “officer has succumbed to his injuries,” hours after Police told the public to put the officers in prayers.
President Joe Biden is expected to give a media reaction to the incident later.
