Oyogist.com has learnt that a federal judge has issued a total of $650 million (roughly Rs. 4,780 crores) against Facebook in settlement of a privacy labelled against facebook some years ago.
The lawsuit was regarding an Alleged photo face-tagging by facebook without the permission of its users.
“It will put at least $345 (into the hands of every class member interested in being compensated,” he wrote, calling it “a major win for consumers in the hotly contested area of digital privacy.” US District Judge James Donato said.
