Nigerians react to FG shutting down Thirdmainland Bridge for 72 hours again

Oyogist.com has learnt that the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr Popoola, has announced the closure of the Third Mainland Bridge for three days in order to complete another round of delicate expansion joints replacement.

He made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), further noting that the shutdown would be in place from midnight on Friday to midnight on Monday.

The construction works had reached the stage for casting concrete on additional three expansion joints, he explained further, ordering that all movements on the bridge that could cause vibrations would be stopped.

Meanwhile various Nigerians have reacted to the 72 hours closure, as they were in doubts when actually the repairs would finally be concluded.

A twitter user @LawyerAwonHoodlums wrote; “FG should conclude this Third Mainland Bridge repair please. I miss going to work at 7:30am”.

@AngelMessi opined;”Only God knows when this third mainland bridge will be free of repairs!.

@iamangelraf wrote; “Hearing that third mainland bridge will be shut for 72hours breaks my heart as I will be working on Saturday. When will they finish the work completely self?
