Twitter has announced that it has permanently suspended the Twitter account of President Trump, OYOGist.com reports.
Donald Trump’s Twitter account, prior to the suspension, was followed by more than 88 million accounts.
The @realDonaldTrump account has being the President’s go to platform to dish out attacks during and after the elections he lost. Trump’s woes with social media reached a tipping point when he incited his followers to attack the Capitol Hill to prevent the certification of President-elect, Joe Biden by the congress. This led to Trump being suspended by virtually all social networks he’s active on.
“After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context aroundthem we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk for further incitement of violence,” Twitter Safety account announced on Friday.
A look at the President’s once glowing page now bears the dreaded “account suspended” badge, depriving Donald Trump access to his 88M+ followers.
