Qatar to aid Nigerian Military, Police and other Security Agencies with $1 billion

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Qatar government has agreed to aid the Nigerian military, Police Force and other security agencies with a $1 billion dollar grant to acquire modern warfare and security apparatus / equipments.

The President of the Africa-Global Empowerment and Development Network (AGED), Dr. Bala Kontagora, made this known in a statement during the National Conference on the roles of Nigeria’s Security Agencies in the COVID-19 Pandemic Environment which was organised in collaboration with the National Defence College, on Wednesday in Abuja.

“We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Defence College through the centre for strategic and studies with the primary purpose of advancing security sector reforms and synergies between all security agencies.”

Dr. Bala stated that the relentless efforts which was put into work by the Africa-Global Empowerment and Development Network (AGED, enabled the organization secure the $1 billion dollar grant from the Qatar government. He also stated that the funds would go a long way in fighting terrorism and other social vices in the country.

“Our relentless efforts have enabled us to secure $1b from the government of Qatar through our unique and professional relationship with Sheikh (Dr.) Badr Al-Hajri, who personally visited AGED-Network in Abuja,” Dr. Bala stated.
