Court Sentences Ibadan Internet Fraudster To 12 Months Imprisonment

OYOGist.com has learned that a Nigerian Federal High Court seated in Ibadan, Oyo state, have reportedly sentenced one Ibrahim Tunde-Akinsola,  to 12 months imprisonment over a US$1,750 cyber fraud.

Ibrahim Tunde-Akinsola, was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a one-count charge bothering on impersonation / obtainment of funds under false pretense.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Patricia Ajoku, noted that “the judgment was in line with the provisions of Section 270 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015 that provides for a reduced sentence for anyone who enters a plea bargain agreement.”
