Mrs. Adenike noted that all returning NYSC members were tested of Covid-19 before the commencement of the currently ongoing orientation programme in collaboration with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). She also noted that those who were tested positive for Covid-19 were were picked up by the NCDC for proper care and isolation.

“No one, both staff and prospective corps member, that tested positive to COVID-19 was allowed into any of the orientation camps. Therefore, it is erroneous and very misleading to talk about rising cases of COVID-19 in NYSC camps,” Mrs. Adenike stated.

She also stated the welfare of the Youths service corps members was the topmost priority of the NYSC management noting that the management would never prioritize its own above the welfare of the corp members.
