According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Federal Government has lashed out at the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) to stop the use of strike as a means of making demands from the government.

This was made known by the Federal Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Nigige during an interview with Channels TV on Friday.

“And I told ASUU, you can’t be going on strike to make demands. They went on strike in 2017, 2018, 2019 and now 2020. Stop going on strike to make demands. The world is now digital,” Chris Ngige said.

The minister also noted that the only thing that’s stopping ASUU from resuming is the revitalization fund demanded by ASUU which the minister said the federal government cannot afford now due to the current economic situation in the country.
