#Endsars: Senate Urges Federal Government To Repair Damaged Infrastructures

OYOGist.com has learned that the Nigerian Senate has reportedly called on the federal government to repair the damaged infrastructures which were damaged by the hoodlums during the #Endsars protests.

The senate made the charge due to a motion which was raised by the PDP Sensation representing Cross River South, Gershom Bassey and his colleague Senator Biodun Olujimi.

The lawmakers stated that the protest went violent due to the protest hijack by the hoodlums who went on a damaging and looting spree.

Senator Gershom Bassey stated that “in spite of the 24-hour curfew, a group of vandals on Oct. 24, invaded over 120 property in Calabar and vandalised, looted and burnt down some high value property belonging to individuals, the state government and federal government.”

He stated that the government public building offices which belongs to the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), West African Examination Council (WAEC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the brand new state of the art Calabar International Convention Centre (ICC), were all damaged by the hoodlums.

The Senate has now urged the federal government to see to the damages caused by the violent hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful protest.
