Edo Joint Task Force Nabs Seven Suspected Kidnappers

OYOGist.com has learned that the Edo state Joint Task Force have reportedly arrested seven (7) suspected kidnappers following a joint operation of the riverine areas of the state.

According to reports gathered the General Officer Commanding 2 Division, Major General Anthony Omozoje, had earlier promised the Gov. Godwin Obaseki to put a halt to the high rise of social vices in the state.

According to Gen. Omozoje, he reportedly stated that; “Troops of the 4 brigade are on clearance operation at suspected kidnappers hideouts at Ogbemudia oil palm plantation and the river behind it. We intend to disrupt all kidnapping activities along the axis and secure the Benin-Auchi Expressway.”

The General also reiterated the support of the army in bringing peace and stability to the state. Gen. Omozoje also made it known that several federal prison escapees and deadly criminal gang leaders have been arrested by the taskforce.
