According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Borno state Governor, Babagana Zulum’s convoy has allegedly been attacked by the deadly Boko Haram Islamic sect terrorists.

The governor was said to have escaped the deadly attack after being flown along with some top government officials in a helicopter shortly before the terror attack.

According to a soldier attached to the Borno state Governor Zulum, he stated that the Governor’s convoy was attacked by the terrorists who came on trucks and motorcycles.

“We were attacked by the gunmen who came with about six trucks and seven motorcycles. We engaged them but they have already destabilised.

“We had no option than to abort the trip and returned to Maiduguri with corpses of the deceased. About seven people died immediately but two of my colleagues (soldiers) died from gunshot injuries when we got back to Maiduguri,” the soldier said.

The Borno state governor had earlier escaped so many Boko Haram terror attacks on his convoy which often leads to the death of so many of his security aides.
