Banditry: Suspected Gunmen Attack Zamfara Mosque, Kill Five

According to report reaching oyogist.com, unknown gunmen have repeatedly kidnapped 18 worshippers and killed five in a deadly mosque attack in Zamfara state.

The gunmen allegedly attacked the mosque while the Imam was preaching to the worshippers. Reports has it that over 18 hostages were taken after shooting dead five worshippers.

However, the attack was said to have been perpetrated by the bandits who have now maintained their camp in the Rugu forest which cuts across Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna and Niger states from where they launch their deadly attacks.

The Northern Nigeria has now been plagued with the issue of insecurity following the activities of the Boko Haram terrorists and the unrepentant bandits who have now sought refuge in the area.

It should be noted that the federal government had earlier taken so many reconciliation steps which later turned abortive as the bandits are beginning to carve out forest territories for themselves which serves as a base of launching deadly attacks against the people.
