“Herdsmen Are 100% One Tribe, Do Not Fault The Igbo Apprenticeship Program” -Reno Omokri

OYOGist.com has learned that Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to Ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has faulted people calling for the inclusion of other regions into the Igbo apprenticeship system. He took to his tweeter handle to advice on what other regions who wish to own an apprentice system should do and stop seeing faults in the system.

“Don’t fault the Igbo apprentice program because they don’t take non Igbo apprentices. Herdsmen are almost 100% one tribe. No one resents them for it. It is called Igbo apprentice program for a reason. If you like it, replicate yours. Don’t resent them.” He said.

The igbo apprenticeship system is a pattern of business training which an Igbo man ventures in a particular business, and when he fully understands how the business works, he establish himself and gain a market share.

After the business reaches the height of market stability, he gets apprentices under his watch. He then tutors them practically not like the theory pattern in business schools. They learn from his experience and tricks in managing a business successfully.

After some years of these apprentices learning from him, the tutor voluntarily pays them(“settle” is normally used in the system). This settlement will either be by paying his apprentices rent of the store they intend starting their business in, for a number of years, or buying their first set of goods(usually goods relating with what they learnt).

The new entrepreneurs thereafter become market share owners too using the skills they learned. Every one gains and nobody is left behind. There is always an efficient economic equilibrium and inequality is brought to the barest minimum.
