‘Rivers State Is Safer Than Any Other State’ – Wike

The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on Monday entertained an interview with a newsman from AIT in the Government house in Port Harcourt where he reiterated on the developmental strides of his administration in the state, oyogist.com reports.

The governor was delighted to blow his trumpet with emphasis on the security situation of Rivers state. He said that Rivers state is safer in comparison to other states of the federation, especially north eastern states.

Wike expressed this on his Official Tweeter handle in the afternoon of Monday as he described Rivers as having a more accommodating and enabling environment for foreign investors.

According to his words on the tweet he said, “Rivers State is safer than any other State. See what is happening in Bornu, Kaduna and Plateau States where bandits have taken over their areas.”

He particularly pointed at the ongoing flyover construction project in the state, adding that the expatriates of Julius Berger are enjoying the peaceful ambience of the state as they carry out their work.

He wrote, “When Amaechi was Governor, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC was chased away because of insecurity. But they are here now, constructing roads all over the State without fear. Amaechi’s hometown, Ubima is a place you have a large number of cultists that he uses. The heads of security agencies he influences their postings, come here and see the reality on ground that the State is safe.”
