U.S. company Johnson & Johnson has commenced it’s phase 3 clinical trials for the Coronavirus vaccine.

The company joins Moderna, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca to start late stage trials for the covid-19 vaccine.

The phase 3 trial is the last and final stage of testing before drug manufacturers can now seek emergency use authorization to widely distribute their vaccines.

President Donald Trump said at a press conference on Wednesday that the company, Johnson and Johnson is “far ahead of schedule” because the company had initially expected to reach phase 1 trials this month due to the pandemic and it’s effect on the economy in the US.

President Trump stated Futher;

“We encourage Americans to enroll in the vaccine trial. It’s not only interesting; it’ll be a terrific thing for our country. We encourage everybody to enroll, as many people as we can”.There is no known vaccine for COVID-19 yet.
