Emirates becomes first airline to offer free COVID-19 coverage to customers

Emirates Airlines offer free COVID-19 coverage

Leading luxury commercial passenger airline, Emirates Airlines, has announced its move to offer customers that fly with it during the pandemic free full COVID-19 coverage, OYOGist.com has gathered.

The UAE company made the announcement via its social media channel, saying the directive issued by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The coverage includes coverage for medical up to 150,000 Euros and daily coverage of 150 Euros should a customer fall sick with COVID-19 during a trip and has to be quarantined.

The coverage would cover all classes of passengers.

“Our customers can now travel with added peace of mind, as we will cover medical expenses up to EUR 150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR 100 per day for 14 days, should they be diagnosed with COVID-19 while they are away from home. This cover for COVID-19 related medical expenses and quarantine costs is offered by us free of cost to customers regardless of class of travel or destination.
