Ogun Flood Victims To Get Financial Assistance, Dapo Abiodun Assures

OYOGist.com has learned that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has assured all the affected persons in the heavy downpour that destroyed building and businesses in Abeokuta that they will all get financial assistance from the government.

Prince Abiodun made the disclosure when he visited the affected areas in Abeokuta like Isale Oja, Kuto, Ijeun Titun, Ekundayo area all in Abeokuta.

The Governor said he was moved seeing the level of damage the rain has caused on people’s property and businesses. He stressed that his administration had earlier directed 5 Commissioners to conduct assessment situation when he received the news of the damages done.

The Governor pledged that his administration will be building new bridges at Ekundayo street and other flood prone areas while cleaning of waterways will commence soon.

The Governor urged residents of the state to desist from clogging waterways with heaps of waste so that the project when completed will stand the test of time.
