OYOGist.com has learned that the move to unseat Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, has taken a step further today in court as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) officially joined to the suit, filed by the governorship candidate of RAP, in the 2019 General Elections, demanding an interpretation to the Supreme Court ruling that disqualified Uche Nwosu, ruling that he held dual candidacy.

The court had requested that interested parties to the suit, be joined in the matter during the last sitting. Uche Nwosu had declined to join the suit, stating that he would not join an opposing party against his party’s mandate. The case was then adjourned to 29th Sept. 2020.

A ruling against Gov Hope Uzodinma may see Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, the PDP Candidate who was declared the second runner up by the Supreme Court, in January of 2020, returning as Govenror of Imo State.

An attempt has also been made by AA to disassociate itself from Uche Nwosu, claiming the party only adopted him.
