Chelsea’s defensive woes this season has seen them languish in 4th place fighting for a top 4 finish with the likes of Leicester City and Wolverhampton wanderers. A constant terrible defensive display all season coupled with a disasterclass performance from their world’s most expensive goalkeeper has been a thing of concern for club legend and first team coach Frank Lampard, oyogist.com reports.

Chelsea have conceded 44 goals this season just 2 less than Burnley (46) among the the teams in the top half of the table. A terrible stat given Chelsea is currently sitting 3rd on the table, they have the worst defensive record of all top 7 teams in the league this season by their incessant and uncontrollable allowance for opponent goals.

Frank Lampard who is in dire https://www.asasurgery.com/viasild/ need of a central defender is rumored to be keenly interested in West Ham’s Declan Rice. Although the 21 year old Englishman plays predominantly as a holding defensive midfielder currently, Lampard has plans of converting him totally to a Centre back and he believes he can perform in that position.

West Ham are currently holding out for a €70 million price tag on the player but Chelsea might not have to pay that much if they can convince the player of their plans for him. Rice dropping a transfer request to West Ham will hasten things up and force his club to reconsider as they won’t want to lose him on a free transfer provided he refuses to extend his contract.
