The number of cases recorded in the state has fluctuated with some days recording a high number of cases, while other days saw mild cases. However, Oyo State has continued on a trend that signals a continuous or rather sharp rise in the number of cases recorded.

The State Government of Oyo State has issued a directive that requires all residents to put on a facemask whenever they are in public places. The state plans to enforce this rule by punishing offenders starting from August.
