Several individuals have peddled the rumour that veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs, the husband of Joke Silva, is dead. However, OYOGist.com can authoritatively confirm that the actor is alive and sound.
Nollywood actress, Kemi Akindoju, the star of Dazzling Mirage, confirmed in a tweet that the octagenarian is very much alive and warned people to stop pushing unconfirmed reports.
Debunking the report, Kemi tweeted “Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Very much so. I just got off the phone with him. Please, stop spreading fake news.”
Olu Jacobs started trending on Twitter, Tuesday evening as people started sharing reports of the death of the renowned actor, sparking fear among his followers.
“This story should better be fake… Olu Jacobs can’ just die like that *cry emoji*” Twitter user, @kvng_shuga tweeted with a screenshot of a message she sent to the actor’s Instagram page.
“We’ve lost a gem. Rip Olu Jacobs” User, @Beaversticks twitter with a photo of the actor, while another user @AuntyAdaa said “Please, is Olu Jacobs dead??”
