Senator Etok Promises Better Salaries To His Polytechnic Lecturers

OYOGist.com has learned that the founder of Fortune Polytechnic, Senator Aloysius Etok has declared that lecturers in his Polytechnic will earn better salaries in the nearest future just like workers in the oil and gas sector.

He said this in a joint meeting with management staff of Fortune Polytechnic in Uyo, where he confirming the appointment of the Acting Registrar, Mr. Aniefiok Etok, including that of all heads of departments, director, and Public Relations, Mr. Emmanuel Ufon amongst others.

The Senator charged the members of staff to work hard as partners in progress to justify the confidence reposed in them by interpreting the dream of the Polytechnic, which he said would be the most sought after Polytechnic in the world, soon.

Etok, who is also the chairman, Fortune Schools commended the teachers in the Nursery, Primary, and High School section for taking advantage of the world-class ICT unit to sustain the online class, which is a response to the continued closure of schools in the country.

He advised the schools to be selective in the choice of the application used in the online class and put the audience analysis in consideration for the sake of accessibility and affordability on the part of the pupils and students, pointing out that all types of online teaching facilities are available in the school.

Speaking further, Etok thanked the school teachers for their cooperation and understanding with the school’s management during the April lockdown, assuring that their welfare package will receive a huge boost soon.

Responding, the newly appointed Head of the Public Administration Department, Dr. Ufot Phenson thanked the chairman of the school for the honour done him on the appointment and the lofty welfare packages, assuring him of reciprocating the gesture by bringing his wealth of experience earned over the years in lecturing to bear in the institution.

On his part, the director, Information and Public Relations of the Polytechnic, Mr. Emmanuel Ufon, who dedicated his appointment to God, the League of Newspaper Publishers, the Forum of Independent Broadcast Programme Producers and the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council assured the school management that he will work with the journalists in Nigeria to preach the gospel of Fortune Polytechnic to the world.
