OYOGist.com has learned that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, has denounced claims spreading around that he isn’t a member of the party. In fact, he has declared that he is a bonafide member of APC.

The aspirant said: “If you examine the constitution of the APC, article 9, you may discover that you could visit your ward and sign in or you could even do on-line registration – the essence of this is to make certain that no person is deprived.”

Up to 18 chairmen of the APC on the local government level in Edo state Thursday challenged the membership of Ize-Iyamu and brought that he led his supporters out of the celebration in 2014. However, in a statement issued via the Director of Communication and Media, Ize-Iyamu Campaign Organization, Mr. John Mayaki, said, “Those disputing his party are only carrying out fruitless exercise.

OYOGist.com reports

“Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was one of people who now not only fashioned the APC however drafted the constitution of the APC. It is pretty unfortunate that a lot of those people don’t read. They have no longer sat right down to even study the APC constitution.”

“The APC apart from being a progressive party turned into deliberately shaped to be a mass organisation. And one of the things individuals who drafted the APC constitution (along with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu) did become to make it clean for Nigerians, regardless of who they are, so one can be part of the party like the APC without humans like these renegades seeking to put hurdles in their way.”

“Politics is a sport of number. Ideally, you would need to welcome people to your party.”
