OYOGist.com has learned that the Police attached to Zone 2 have captured some cult members terrorising Ikorodu in Lagos State, the Assistant Inspector General of Police responsible for Zone-2 Onikan Lagos, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc, has said.
The Police, DSP Idris Hauwa said the increase in cult activities around Ikorodu hub of Lagos state in late time grabbed the eye of the Zone that some criminal elements took advantage of presidential order to lockdown Lagos, Ogun and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for their criminal activities, in this manner threatening, burglarizing and attacking individuals from the general population.

In view of this, the pragmatic security boss, AIG Iliyasu requested some strategic units of the Zone to gather intelligence and information leading to the capture of the cult leader and members threatening the general population, including that information assembled drove the capture of one Mukaila also known as Actor a presumed cult leader threatening Maya, Itele, Igode and Adamo zones of Ikorodu, Lagos.
Iliyasu included that a group of agents joined to Zonal Monitoring Unit raged the house and hideout of the said Mukaila, where a Pump Action Gun, 55 live cartridges, a locally made Axe and different types of charms were recovered while one of his young boys was captured including that investigation is in progress and activities being assisted to capture other escaping suspects.
