However, Al-shabab claims responsibility for the deadly bombing. Al-shabab group conducted similar attack in the month of March where they succeeded in killing the governor of Puntland.

On Sunday Al-shabab posted on their website, “our fighter who died as a matyr succeeded in killing the governor of Madug today”.

The city of Galkayo is a little bit far way from the city of Somalia about 600km apart. A lot of crimal attack and suicide bombing have been reported in the city.

In the year 2011, Al-shabab group and Alqaeda were defeated in Somalia but up to this time they still have control over certain locations in Somalia. The terror groups promised to overthrow Somalian government.
