COVID19: NCDC records 204 new cases with 80 in Kano, 45 in Lagos, others in 14 states in Nigeria

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 204 new confirmed COVID19 cases in the country, with the total confirmed cases in the country now 1932, OYOGist.com has confirmed.

Following the resumption of testing in Kano, where a lack of adequate testing kits and reported infections among NCDC staffers shut the state’s testing center , Kano has recorded exponentially high numbers.

Thursday’s record saw Kano take the lead over Lagos State as the state with the highest number of confirmed cases with 80 new cases. Lagos has 45 new cases, while the FCT has 4 cases.

Covid19 cases in Nigeria

According to the NCDC, the new total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria as at 11:50PM on Thursday, 30th of April, 2020 is 1932. There are now 319 discharged cases and 58 deaths.

Between Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th of April, there were 7 COVID19-related deaths in Nigeria.
