OYOGist.com has learned that Chelsea are reportedly battling the signing of Olympique Marseille’s defender Boubacar Kamara with fellow Premier League rivals Manchester City. The 20-year-old defender had a great season with Andre Villa Boas’ side which has caught the eyes of so many suitors all across Europe.
Marseille came second behind Paris Saint Germain in the 2019/20 season after the season was cancelled recently due to the ongoing crisis. Kamara was part of the success story of the team, notching up one goal and two assists in 24 appearances.
Kamara is currently valued at ₦11.4 billion (£23.4 million) and his current contract with the French side will expire at the end of the year 2021/2022 season.

Chelsea are currently in the market for a centre-back with the club looking to replace Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen.
But it will be difficult for the Blues to lure him to Stamford Bridge as they face heavy competition from Manchester City and Marseille who doesn’t want to lose any player as they prepare for Champions League football next season.
