Professor Maurice Iwu’s Acclaimed Covid 19 Drug Under Testing In The US

OYOGist.com has learned that the drug for the treatment of coronavirus has been discovered and produced by a Nigerian, Professor Maurice Iwu.

Professor Maurice Iwu who is a Pharmacognosy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) had produced a plant-based patent treatment for coronavirus, the Drug is currently been tested in the United States of America for it potency and awaiting approval for clinical use for coronavirus treatment.

The COVID-19 drug was presented to Nigeria’s Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onu who had in same vein sent the sample to the United States for testing.

If approved for treatment of coronavirus, it will be a breakthrough development for Professor Maurice Iwu and the Nigerian government as the coronavirus pandemic have brought world leaders to their feet in search for a cure the global pandemic which has claimed several thousands of lives since it outbreak in Wahun, China in December 2019.

Professor Maurice Iwu was famous for been the INEC chairman during the 2007 Nigeria general election during the regime of President Olusegun Obasanjo, the election which was marred with several controversies was tagged as the most fraudulent election in Nigeria’s history.

Professor Maurice Iwu stated that a temporary approval might be granted for the drug by NAFDAC if the need arises or if the coronavirus cases in Nigeria escalate further, he also confirmed that he is working closely with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the results so far has been positive and encouraging.
