Following the order of Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El Rufai to extend the Coronavirus quarantine lockdown in the State for another 30 days, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to it, OYOGist.com is aware.

The Deputy Governor for Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, chaired the State Standing Committee on COVID-19 where the recommendation was reached to extend the lockdown for another 30 days.

According to the order, the lockdown extension is to take effect starting from Sunday, the 26th of April, 2020.

“Malam Nasir El Rufai has extended the quarantine orders in the state for another 30 days, effective from 26th April 2020. The decision follows a recommendation to that effect by the State Standing Committee on Covid-19, chaired by @DrHadiza Balarabe,’

Most people are not excited with the Kaduna State Government’s decision to prolong the lockdown, which has thrown the residents of the state into hardship.

However, some have expressed support for it, agreeing that it is for the good of everyone involved. See their reactions below:

Some are worried that the current lockdown in Lagos and Abuja, which is set to expire by Monday, 27th of April will be extended owing to the fact that Kaduna has just a fraction of the confirmed cases in these two states.
