BREAKING NEWS: US COVID-19 death toll passes 50,000, the highest record globally

In what is being described as the highest record of Coronavirus-related death globally, the United States’ COVID-19 related death toll has, on Friday, 24th of April, 2020 surpassed 50,000, OYOGist.com reports.

The John Hopkins University, in a data shared by the institution revealed that the death toll from the the virus in the US has crossed the alarming figure after over 3,000 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States have now crossed 900,000 on Friday, 24th of April, 2020.

The White House COVID-19 Task Force has described the country’s Coronavirus mortality rate as “one of the lowest mortality rates in the entire world” as the US reopens parts of the country from lockdown.
