Reports reaching OYOGist.com have it that the Gunners are ready to offer £25million to Feyenoord to sign Orkun Kokcu this summer.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified the U-21 Turkey international as the perfect signing to his squad and wants to make the playmaker his first permanent addition..and have already sent officials to watch the prospect in action. Talks were even about beginning cause the Gunners had it in mind to wrap the deal before Euro 2020 to avoid transfer increment.

But now, news oozing from Spain says Sevilla are also tracking Orkun and have sent representatives to speak to the playmaker about a move to Spain.

The La Liga giants needs to convince Kokcu that his future lies in Spain rather than the Premier League and they also regard him as their No.1 target to bolster their midfield.

The interest from the Spanish club appears to have jolted the Gunners to life, and Arsenal have outlined a plan to see off the contest.

The London giants are planning to outbid Sevilla and offer £25m for the 19-year-old playmaker, a figure the La Liga club will not be able to match.

OYOGist.com reports

Mikel Arteta is hoping for a busy summer transfer window, but his plans may be affected by the current ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The Premier League has been suspended until April due to the outbreak, and club chiefs are holding a meeting on Thursday to discuss further what is to be done.

It looks the postponed matches will have to be played during the summer, which would presumably see the opening of the summer transfer window delayed. The Gunners training complex is still shut after Mikel Arteta became the first high profile figure in English football to test positive for coronavirus.
