OYOGist.com has learned that one of Britain’s richest man Sir Jim Ratcliffe who runs a huge chemicals company Ineos said the company is to build a plant ‘in 10 days’ to manufacture hand sanitiser. The 67 year old said the hand sanitiser will be provided to hospitals free of charge.
The company which already produces some of the raw materials needed to produce hand sanitisers, announced that it planned to build a plant in Middlesbrough to address the ‘critical shortage’.
The factory to be built will produce 1 million bottles per month within 10 days.
“It is becoming increasingly clear that hand to mouth infection is a significant cause of Corona virus contagion and INEOS is Europe’s largest manufacturer of the core ingredient of hand sanitiser.
“We will build two factories in the UK and Germany in 10 days to produce very substantial supplies.
“INEOS is a company with enormous resources and manufacturing skills. If we can find other ways to help in the coronavirus battle, we are absolutely committed to playing our part,” Sir Jim said.
