No fewer than ten houses were raided at the Adebisi Layout, Ogbagba communities, in the Apata NNPC Depot area of Ido Local Government, Oyo State by armed robbers last Saturday.

OYOGist.com learned that the robbers, who wielded guns, cutlasses, among others, as reliably gathered came in a large number and raided houses in Adebisi Layout, Olorunkemi Street among others. They successfully carted away money, laptops, handsets, and other valuables.

One of the victims who confided in Opera News explained that the robbers entered their street at about 12am and operated for almost four hours without any hindrance, even not from the vigilante group employed by the landlords; ” they had a field day”.

He narrated further, “They started entering from one house to another. The guys are well prepared as they came along with other operational equipments such as sledgehammer. They broke down doors, remove burglaries to gain access into houses, rooms and after they successfully broke in , they began to attack us with cutlass, shooting sporadically into the sky.

“The armed gang who raided till around 4am were shouting ‘Kimo sere ‘ in Ibadan dialect, meaning ‘they were here for a serious business’, asking other victims to bring out everything they had, which they took away. This was too strange to belief. In the last thirteen to fifteen years, I never experienced such terrible scenario in this community.

“Honestly, the experience was surreal and people are still nursing great fear as we speak. We thank God Almighty that nobody was killed during the operation.
