In a surprising turn of events on Tuesday at the Supreme Court in Abuja, a judge partaking in the Imo Guber elections has disagreed with his colleagues over the ruling of January 14, 2020 that sacked Emeka Ihedioha.

Justice Chima Chiweze of the Supreme Court, Abuja has set aside the court ruling that sacked Ihedioha and declared him (Emeke Ihedioha) as the winner of the governorship election.

A seven-man panel, one of the justices, Justice Chiweze has disagreed with the judgment of his other six colleagues and now insists that Ihedioha’s application had merit and should be allowed.

Recall that OYOGist.com reported earlier today that the Supreme Court had dismissed Ihedioha’s application for review of the January 14 judgment that sacked Emeke Ihedioha as Governor of Imo State.

In making the case for the review, Justice Chiweze argued that the apex court had the power to review its own judgment.
