Talk of a bountiful year. This was how 2019 ended for Africa’s wealthiest man and richest black man on earth, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who ended the year 2019 with $4.3 billion extra to his name.
Bloomberg, an international business news and analytics company, reported that Africa’s richest man earned $4.3 billion more last year thanks to his investments in cement, sugar and flour in Nigeria.
Entering the world’s top 100 richest, Alhaji Dangote ended the decade with a total net worth of close to $15 billion. This new figure placed him as the 96th richest man in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
With 2019 bringing in a whopping $4.3 billion for the industrialist, he may experience yet another boom in 2020 as his Ibeju-Lekki refinery, the largest in the world, comes close to completion. The refinery is located in Lagos, Nigeria.
