We all remember the robbery that went down at a branch of First Bank Nigeria Plc in a suburb in Abuja, and how a heroic joint effort of the Nigerian Police Force and the Nigerian Army foiled that operation.

On 28 December 2019, in broad daylight, armed men gained their way into a branch of the bank but were immediately surrounded by army and police officers that were alerted to the crime.

Four suspects were arrested in connection to the robbery, including one bank staff who acted as an insider.

On the eve of the new year, 31 December 2019, the police paraded the suspects that were arrested in connection to the crime.

The names of the suspects were released as one Larry Ehizo, a Customer Relations Officer of a bank; Timothy Joe a 21-year-old, Princewill Obinna, 24 and another Elijah David who is 19.

Larry was reportedly the mastermind behind the robbery and the one who led the gang to the bank’s vault.

Larry confessed to the police to have planned the operation.

Ernest, another of the suspects, is still at large.
