Yesterday Monday 23 December 2019, the Governor of Lagos State commissioned some 31 roads to the delight of the public.

When making the announcement, he alleged that the roads were awarded by the past administration but was abandoned in 2017.

This implies that the Administration of Governor Ambode had been reckless in carrying out the projects he embarked on and was unable to see them to completion.

Well, Lagosians on Twitter were quick to remind their governor that the works were actually nearing completion before the former Governor left office for the current administration and such statement that they were abandoned is an effort to diminish the efforts of his predecessor.

Recall that there was bitter bickering between Ambode and Saneo-Olu during the 2019 primaries when it was clear to Ambode that he would not have a chance at a 2nd term in office. He make some malicious statements about Sanwo-Olu then. At one point, he said the then aspirant was a psychiatric patient with mental issues and drug abuse history.

“This may have left some ting of animosity towards Ambode in Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” an online commentator said.
